Be Kind Rewind (2008) - Soundtrack - Jean-Michel Bernard and VA

"Be Kind Rewind" is from director Michel Gondry who also directed the Seth Rogen action comedy remake "The Green Hornet". I haven't seen all of Gondry's films yet but "Be Kind Rewind" is definitely one of my favorites so far. Basically it's about a video store that has all its tapes accidentally erased by its two clerks. They come up with a plan to re-shoot every film in the store with their own camera with no money in order to keep the store running. The films re-shot include Robocop, Boyz N' Th Hood, Carrie, Ghostbusters, The Lion King and many more. The film is really funny and the soundtrack features a lot of catchy songs. Mos Def and Jack Black (the two video store clerks) make a good likable team and have good chemistry. I hope they are able to collaborate again in another movie at some point in the future.
