Important Annoucement Regarding The Future Of The Inferno Music Vault

Hey guys,

Most of you have probably heard by now that Megaupload was shut down and that other file host servers are in trouble as well. It's all cause of recent developments in Congress and whatnot with fighting piracy. Right now Rapidshare to my knowledge is attracting the most people who use file host servers. I used to use Rapidshare for my blog and there are still links on here that are from that server but I think most of them if not all are dead. I think I'm going to wait a while before I choose a new file host server to use in place of Megaupload. I recently purchased a subscription to Filesonic but a few days later after I got the account they changed their rules where you can't share links. How lame! So basically I've decided that I'm going to "lay low" for a while until this craziness cools down. I won't be posting anymore soundtracks or re-uploading new links that are dead for the time being. Sorry guys. I hope you all understand where I'm coming from.

But there are still lots of links from Multiupload on here that should still be active. You might wanna try downloading from the Rapidshare links on here too in case they're still active by some chance. So basically what I suggest is grab what you can while the links are still active and hopefully I'll be back to sharing soundtracks in the near future. Unfortunately, I can't promise I'll be back cause there are some blogs that have been shut down cause of the recent anti piracy craze and I'm not sure if that will happen to my blog too. But if that happens, maybe by some chance I'll come back and setup another place elsewhere to share soundtracks. Cross your fingers readers. Also, I have a ton of comments on posts that I have to moderate and comments that are posted already that I have to reply to. Since my blog's future is uncertain I will hold off on answering them for the time being. However I will still answer any comments on the cbox.

ATTENTION: Did You Download The Karate Kid II Extended Soundtrack? Read On....

It turns out that the last track on the Karate Kid 2 Extended Soundtrack was incorrect. Originally this track wasn't part of Phaota's extended soundtrack. When I was looking for quotes on imdb to use for the download link I decided to check out the soundtrack listing and saw that there was a song not on our edition. That song is listed as:

I told Phaota and he checked his DVD and thought he heard it on the end credits on his DVD. See, I was originally gonna post this soundtrack sooner but then this situation with finding out about this supposedly missing tune from this soundtrack delayed things. After Phaota sent me the track I posted the soundtrack. Soon after I posted it I received a email from my blog collaborator Chris. This is what he said:

"I just got through watching the end credits of my Karate Kid II DVD and it's not there. It's not even listed in the credits as a song anywhere in the movie. What Phaota heard was a badly edited reprisal of the same song, Glory of Love, where the original song would end up fading out, they brought back a bridge of the song and Peter singing."

"IMDB often has information that's user submitted, and many times in their trivia listings for certain movies, I've grossly erroneous information that was never checked by the people who run imdb, and allowed to be known as "fact."

"In fact, (though I admit the user-submitted nature of Wikipedia, they do check their information more thoroughly):

"The Next Time I Fall" is a 1986 Billboard Hot 100 #1 hit song written by Bobby Caldwell and Paul Gordon, recorded as a duet by Peter Cetera and Amy Grant for Cetera's 1986 album Solitude/Solitaire, and as a solo by Caldwell himself for his 1988 album Heart of Mine. The single reached number one on both the Adult Contemporary chart and the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart.[1] It went to number one in December 1986, remaining in that position for one week. "Anyways, there you have it. I'm quite sure I'm correct in the matter. It wasn't a song that was made for the movie. The song came out the same year as the movie, and I'm quite sure it's popularity was boosted by Peter Cetera's hit "Glory of Love" at the same time."

Chris ended his email with this: "I just want your blog to represent truth in what you post." I heartily agree. Sometimes there are mistakes in the information presented on my posts. But I try to correct them as soon as I when I receive reliable information from a reliable source. Thanks Chris for the heads up. Phaota thanks you too. And I'm sorry for the inconvenience to those who have already downloaded the soundtrack. But rest assured, if you want the correct edition and you downloaded already, just delete the last track, "The Next Time I Fall In Love" and you're good to go. I am correcting the links as I write this for those that have yet to download the soundtrack. I try to give it my all to my blog and I try my best to provide the best possible editions of soundtracks I can get. Sometimes there is a need for a revision, big or small, but The Inferno Music Vault will always try to deliver the best possible presentations of the soundtracks to your favorite movies.

P.S. Be on the lookout for a new and improved edition of a soundtrack to a John Hughes comedy classic. It's bound to be a crowd pleaser! :)

UPDATE: The Last Dragon (1985) Alternate Custom Covers (Made By My Friend Ghostface. Thanks Bro!)

Another impressive cover design by Mr. Ghostface. Mr. Ghostface mentioned these covers are deliberately retro/'80s looking and they match the movie pretty well. I agree. If you dig these covers too send Mr. Ghostface some "props" in the comment section by thanking him for the awesome job he did. I have some other alternate custom covers he did for me for soundtracks already posted. I will get to posting those soon. I am adding a new label for these kinds of posts. It will be in the labels section as "Ghostface's Alternate Custom Covers". I will try to have everything he did that's already been posted with that label possibly tomorrow. I'm tired and I wanna watch this import DVD I got off a private torrent site. It contains the uncut version of Return Of The Living Dead 3. Not the crappy cut version we got in America. In the sequel to the 1984 hit, Mr. Miyagi and Daniel take a trip to Okinawa to visit Mr. Miyagi's dying father. After arriving there, Mr Miyagi finds he still has feelings for an old love. This angers an old rival that he originally left Okinawa to avoid. In the meantime, Daniel finds a new love and also makes some enemies.

This extended soundtrack is a great addition to any Karate Kid fan's collection. It's put together by my pal Phaota. It collects all the songs from this entertaining sequel. Enjoy!

The Last Dragon (1985) - Extended Soundtrack - VA (Thanks Phaota!)

The Last Dragon is a fun take on the martial arts craze of the 80s, but with a large helping of magical elements thrown in the mix. The basic story concerns the character Leroy Green (played by the oddly named Taimak), who is on a search for a mystical "master" in order to obtain the "final level of martial arts mastery known as the glow" (which literally makes the individual glow with a gold full-body halo. Along the way, he must fight an evil martial arts expert named Sho'nuff - The Shogun of Harlem (well acted in a crazy way by Julius Carry) and rescue a beautiful singer (played by Vanity) from an obsessed music promoter (acted by Christopher Murney). Leroy is a obsessed with Bruce Lee and even does his now famous moving multi-hand blur from Lee's film "Enter The Dragon". This is not a great movie, but it's still enjoyable, even the dumb parts. As for the soundtrack, you get a classic mix of rock, funk, dance, pop, disco and rap for great 80s nostalgia. In this extended edition, Phaota has managed to seek out nearly all of the missing tunes not released on the official version, which only had 10 tracks as is usual with most releases. Unfortunately, there are still four songs that haven't been found yet and are very hard to come by. Those are as follows (in play order):

If these songs could ever be found, the soundtrack would be complete, but unless a true 5.1 DVD/Blu-ray is put out, it is not going to happen. So, this extended edition is it for now in the terms of completion. As with all of Phaota's releases, all of the songs are in play order.

Super Mario History 1985-2010 - Soundtrack - Koji Kondo and VA

Another collection of Nintendo music makes its way to Inferno. This time it focuses on the music of the classic video game series "Super Mario Bros." It may not have all the cues we all know and love but it has a good portion of the major ones. It even includes the famous cues we remember from the original "Super Mario Bros." game which are the last 10 tracks on this compilation. I had fun listening to this and reminiscing about all the great times I had playing this game series. Merry Christmas everybody!

I'm back today with 3 awesome custom soundtracks made exclusively for my blog. I apologize for the long delay it's been since the last post. I was trying to finish various things for the blog. I still have some of those things unfinished but it will have to do for the time being. But finished for today are custom soundtracks for "Die Hard", "Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey" and "The Golden Child". These have been in the making for a while now. I wanna thank everyone who helped out on these soundtracks. Expect to see more awesome exclusive custom soundtrack posts in the new year. I'll try though to have something out before then. Also I moderated over 100 comments on posts recently but i haven't gotten around to answering them yet. I will though soon, I just was overwhelmed is all. Anyway, I hope you guys dig the new posts. There's more great stuff on the horizon for Inferno so keep reading!

The Golden Child (1986) - The Complete Soundtrack - Michel Colombier, John Barry and VA (Thanks Blonde and Mr. Ghostface!)

High in the mountains of Tibet, a band of villains led by the mysterious Sardo Numspa have kidnapped the Golden Child, a young boy with mystical abilities.

Kee Nang seeks the help of social worker Chandler Jarrell who’s been prophesied to save the child from the dark forces. But Jarrell disbelieves the mysticism until evidence of demon worship involving the dead body of his latest investigation coincide with a series of unexplained events lead towards the child ...and Numspa

Mel Gibson was originally in the running for the role but was unavailable at the time so Eddie Murphy was casted. John Carpenter was attached at one point but he left to direct Big Trouble In Little China.

According to an interview on an ‘Alien’ appreciation site, Charles Dance stated that The Golden Child was intended as a more serious movie but the studio were unhappy with the movie that reshoots were ordered to accompany ‘Eddie Murphy-isms’ which served to hurt the movie overall rather than help. Having said that, the movie did entertain even if it didn’t match the success of Murphy’s previous exploits. His growing prowess as an serious actor also suffered.
It would be nice to see what was originally filmed some day.
One other tidbit, did you know the Golden Child was actually played by a girl?

Another change was the score. Paramount commissioned John Barry to compose but he left after disagreements with producers. His contribution was replaced with a mostly synth-pop / orchestral score composed Michel Colombier with one track and several snippets from Barry’s score, such as the dream sequence, making the final cut.

The following new album is this: for the first time ever, the full movie score containing all of Barry’s cues integrated therein. Barry’s complete score and a host of bonuses including a selection of cues that were used in editing the movie versions, presented uncut with all remaining songs.

The world of our distant future is a veritable utopia, thanks to the lyrics of two simple-minded 20th Century rock and rollers, Bill S. Preston, Esq. and Ted "Theodore" Logan. However, a would-be conqueror threatens to throw history off-track by sending "most non-non-heinous" evil robot Bill and Teds back to kill their good counterparts. Finding themselves dead, the boys must outwit the Grim Reaper and traverse Heaven and Hell to return to the land of the living, rescue their "babes" and have a "most triumphant" concert at the all-important Battle of the Bands.

It's been 20 years we last saw our friends Bill and Ted and it seems the distributors haven't done anything to capitalise on this ... except us at the Inferno Music Vault. Fans of the original album rejoice, the following new album brings together previously missing and separate material. Every score piece and song in film order including all of Steve Vai's contributions. This wouldn't be a complete album without the movie version of 'God Gave Rock & Roll To You' which has been painstaking timed and edited for your listening pleasure for the very first time and we've added some worthy bonuses to round things off.

I've recently learned that we haven't seen the last of them. Another sequel has been confirmed but won't be around til 2015 at the latest.

Die Hard (1988) - The Complete Soundtrack - Michael Kamen and VA (Thanks Mr. Ghostface For Sharing!)

It's Christmas Eve and New York cop John McClane has flown into Los Angeles to spend the holidays with his family. John meets with his wife at a office party at the Nakatomi corp. building. Unfortunately, international terrorists take over the building and hold everyone hostage to steal $600 million of bonds from the building's vaults. Can McClane stop the terrorists and save his wife and the other hostages?

The original release poster for the film did not feature Bruce Willis' likeness, just the building (pre-release promo posters did show Willis). The producers originally thought it might deter non-Willis fans from seeing the movie. Posters were later altered after the early box office success.

Deputy Chief Robinson says that John McClane (Bruce Willis) "could be a fucking bartender for all we know" (because of McClane's claim to be able to "spot a phony ID"). Prior to becoming a well-known actor, Willis was a bartender.

The line "Yippee-ki-yay, motherfucker!" is used in all Four Die Hard movies (this one, Die Hard 2, Die Hard: With a Vengeance), and Live Free or Die Hard, although a gunfire masks the 'fucker' part in the latest installment). It also translates in Urdu to "here eat this." The line was voted as the #96 of "The 100 Greatest Movie Lines" by Premiere in 2007.

Bruce Willis was the sixth choice for the main character. It originally went to Arnold Schwarzenegger, then Sylvester Stallone, then Burt Reynolds, then Richard Gere, then Harrison Ford, then Mel Gibson before Willis got it.

John McTiernan turned the script down several times. He felt it was a nasty piece of work. When he was finally persuaded to take on the assignment, he was able to lighten some of the film's darker edges.

The music cue when Powell shoots Karl at the end of the film was actually an unused track from James Horner's Academy Award-nominated score for Aliens, another Fox film. Specifically, the music was originally intended for a scene near the end of the film, in which Ripley (Sigourney Weaver) battles with the alien queen on board the Sulaco. Instead, an earlier music cue was reused, leaving the cue available for this film. A second music cue, scored by John Scott for the film Man on Fire, was also used. The music can be heard when McClane and Holly meet Powell at the end of the movie.

Mr. Ghostface gave me this complete soundtrack of Die Hard he compiled utilizing various materials including the recent reissue 2 CD set. Unlike the 2 CD reissue set, this edition presents the music in order as they were presented in the movie and adds some music that was not on the reissue. So if you have that reissue set, this edition makes a nice companion piece or even a great upgrade. Mr. Ghostface and I have other projects up our sleeve for the coming year so be sure to keep a eye out for those. They're sure to be crowd pleasers! :D

Hard to believe it was over twenty years ago I sat in a darkened theater to watch the original 'Pet Sematary' with my Father. Going to horror movies was my way of connecting with my Dad - some guys went to the field or park to toss a ball around, we went to see scary flicks. I doubt there was any important 80's horror movie we didn't see ...'Hellraiser,' 'House,' 'They Live,' even stuff like 'LifeForce' and 'Leviathan' - we saw it all. There was no other horror movie released during that time that scared me more than 'Pet Sematary,' though. Directed by Mary Lambert from a script written by King himself (adapted from a book he swore never to 'sell to Hollywood'), 'Pet Sematary' is a rollercoaster ride of indelibly horrifying images and subversive emotional nuances, well-acted and superbly executed on almost every level: production, scoring, pacing, editing, etc. - there is the stamp of true craftsmanship in all departments. It's one of those rare horror films that fulfills the grotesque needs of the horror genre, while also functioning on its own subversive, bizarre emotional level - it is a horror movie with something to say, and it beckons you to go on its dark journey ... much in the way the path in the Creed's backyard beckons Louis to 'go beyond' the barrier that was not meant to be crossed. Fangoria readers voted it best horror movie of 1989, and it is undoubtedly one of the best horror movies of the 80's, ranking alongside the likes of philosophical fright flicks like the original 'Nightmare On Elm Street' and Cronenberg's 'The Fly.' Adam Green (director of 'Hatchet') talks about an entire generation of upcoming horror directors who are always looking to sneak a 'Zelda moment' into their movie - you fans know what I'm talking about ;). One of the reasons 'Pet Sematary' is such a scary thrill ride (besides Zelda - yikes) is definitely Elliot Goldenthal's haunting music for the movie. It contains echoes of Lalo Schifrin's work from 'The Amityville Horror,' with its tender piano themes propelled by the disturbing echo of a children's choir, highlighted by more suspenseful tracks with thunderous synth undercurrents that explode into nerve-shredding violin shrieks. I remember when I first obtained a copy of this cd from Varese Sarabande (sans the Ramones tracks), it didn't leave my disc player for a month.

Needless to say, I was more than a little excited when 'Pet Sematary 2' opened in theaters in 1992. I went and saw it a few times during its brief, unsuccessful theatrical run. The audiences I saw the film with loved it, but they were mostly teenagers - and teenagers were those for whom this script was so obviously aimed. As a wacky horror movie for teens, 'Pet Sematary 2' works just fine; more than fine, actually. There wasn't a whole lot going on in the world of horror in the early 90's ... it was a dismal time for fright flicks in general. The best the studios had to offer was watered-down big-star high-brow 'horror' soap-operas like Coppola's 'Dracula,' Branagh's 'Frankenstein,' and the Jack Nicholson vehicle 'Wolf' (this was shortly before 'Scream' burst onto the scene and changed the genre forever). So, as a gory little vintage 90's zombie flick made for considerably less money than the original, 'Pet Sematary 2' delivers the goods - and at least it's never boring. It's got great performances (Clancy Brown's best performance, IMHO), top notch cinematography, well-staged action, the best demon-dog in the history of cinema, and a KICK-ASS SOUNDTRACK! Which brings me to a subject of bitter resentment: 'PS2' contains one of the most interesting, eclectic collection of rock songs ever put together for a horror flick, and the Powers That Be never put forth the effort to release a soundtrack! My hunch is that after the movie sorta tanked at the box office, they just didn't think it was worth the $$$$ to release a cd. Boy, they were wrong. Over fifty times now I have run into people who ask how to get a copy of the 'Pet Sematary 2' score and/or soundtrack. All I can tell them is, "You gotta make your own. I did." Well, thanks to your good friends here at the Inferno Music Vault, you no longer have to spend countless days compiling songs from random cd's and downloads to collect the excellent music from 'PS 2.' For those of you who have a semi-complete soundtrack for this already, rest assured: this is the most complete collection you're likely to find for a great long while, if not forever. The hard-working folks here at Inferno have put together the definitive 'PS2' soundtrack/score package, complete with: rare Mark Governor score tracks, the full- length version of Traci Lords' "Love Never Dies" (in GREAT quality), Miranda Sex Garden's haunting 'Gush Forth My Tears (heard as Geoff's Mother bursts into flames), two versions of the 'Lulabox' song that plays at the tail end of the closing credits, as well as various remixes and alternate versions of numerous songs -it's all here! A lot of work has gone into making this sucker a stellar soundtrack for all fans to enjoy. Enjoy, everyone!

Charley Brewster is a normal teenager whose mother thinks he watches too many late night horror films, Charley’s life is pretty uneventful - until he becomes convinced that his suave and sinister neighbour Jerry Dandridge is a vampire.

No one, least of all the police, will believe that Dandridge is the vicious killer responsible for a spate of bizarre murders. Charley finds an ally in Peter Vincent, a former horror film star and host of TV’s ‘Fright Night Theatre’, in his quest to nail the debonair bloodsucker.

But then the nightmare really begins...

If you love being scared, it’ll be the night of your life.

I've seen many Fright Night albums around: songs only. The expanded and 'complete' which was basically the same thing but different name.

Well dear readers, this is something else. The following album contains Brad Fiedel's full score with 10 brand new tracks that have never seen the light of day. Each have been carefully cleaned to the best of my ability, many updates have been made including tracks from the recent official release have been integrated so quality does vary in parts.

All songs are represented with a special extra alternate track on disc 2.

If that wasn't enough, making this the best and most unique Fright Night audio experience is the bonus material: certain tracks from the new official release are presented in their uncut forms. I put these here because they were edited in such a way that makes them too cool to be not included and not all of them were edited into my improved film score version.

We all remember the club scenes and the songs played therein. I came across another album on ffshrine by member megamattterra. I listened and it was rough round the edges and it prompted me to do a newer version of the club mix to as close to the movie as the tracks allowed. This could not have been possible if not for megamattterra, it probably would have been forgotten without his influence so my thanks to him.

I've added a special interview with Chris Sarandon from 2008 to finish disc 3.

We are not finished. We have an awesome bonus exclusive right here. As the original DVD release was unfortunately light on extras and I've found out that it will be released on Limited Edition Blu Ray in December, no extras released at this time .... how about this: 2 DVD commentaries recorded a while back, moderated by Ain't It Cool News.com. Director Tom Holland pulling double duty, first joined by stars Chris Sarandon & Jonathan Stark and secondly with stars William Ragsdale, Stephen Geoffreys & FX Artist Randall William Cook.

This is one of the biggest projects I've ever put together and it couldn't have been possible if it wasn't for The Long Island Ripper, (Mr) Ghostface, our artwork genius and megamattterra from ffshrine ... peace, love and respect to you all.

The following album contains all score and song pieces along with the complete BBC Radio dramatization and Meco Monardo's Impression's of ... ... and I thrown in a couple of unique extras: Youtube has many bunny version of this movie, that movie in 30 secs as well as this movie in 5 secs videos and I got to thinking about doing an audio version, putting the movie in a nutshell in a track. The finished product is 'Ill-fated Journey'. The last is a special interview with director Landis where he gives a complete pitch on his 'Werewolf' sequel and why it was never made, quite a fetching listen.

There’s not a lot here that wasn’t already on the excellent previous release at The Inferno Music Vault (Now deleted btw - L.I.R.), save for a bonus track or two and having everything in film order. A few things worth noting: Several tracks have been renamed for my own taste and to help with the rearrangements made. The first thirty seconds of the track “Flaming Pursuit” (originally titled ‘Buddie’s Death’) did not appear in the film as far as I can tell, so I have split that part off into its own cue, track 38. Track 29, (“Death to the Shitters of the World”) is actually a re-use of the original track “Junkins” with the last stinger removed. The music during this scene in the film (Arnie and Dennis make a toast while driving) does not match anything on the album, but “Junkins” is the closest match. The film mix sounds like they may have mixed and matched with a few different cues. In the bonus tracks you’ll find: Three unused cues that are only slightly different to the film mixes, “Arnie”, “Car Obsession Reprise”, and “Moochie Mix Four”. (These all appeared on the CD.) The previously mentioned unused cue. A remix single of the theme by “The Splash Band” (This appeared on the previous Inferno release as “Theme from Christine” but this version does not have the engine sound effects laid over the music.) A song from 2009 by “Moneypenny”, written specifically about Christine.

Piranha 3D (2010) - Extended Soundtrack and Score - VA and Michael Wandmacher (Thanks BioMX For The Custom Artwork On The Extended Soundtrack!)

Here's a extended soundtrack I put together recently for Piranha 3D. I've located all the missing songs from the official release. But there's one song I'm not 100% sure I got the right version. It's Mitch Miller & The Gang's "Show Me The Way To Go Home". It certainly sounds like it but I'm not positive it's the same version as heard in the movie. The reason is that it plays at a lower volume than what's going on in the scene it's featured in and it's played in pieces. But even if it's not the right version it still is a nice substitute.

I love this movie. Though now I'm sick of it cause I've seen it so many times times on blu-ray and on HD broadcasts on cable. For those who didn't know, there is a sequel about to be released soon. it's called "Piranha 3DD". Get it? DD as in bra size. Lol. Anyway, I haven't heard many good things about this sequel on the Net from people who have inside knowledge of the shoot. But I am happy that there is 3 people who are reprising their roles from the original. Ving Rhames, Paul Scheer, and best of all - Christopher Lloyd! I'm willing to bet this movie won't be as good or as fun as the original but we shall see.

Also, I am sharing a copy of the score below the soundtrack. This score is at times angry and loud. I originally was attempting to put both the soundtrack and score together in film order but i gave up. The reason is that I couldn't locate where a handful of score cues were located in the movie. I figured the score was in movie order but it is not. I came close but no cigar. Plus the intensity of the score was beginning to give me a headache after listening to them sometimes several times each in order to identify them. I'm gonna be honest I'm not really a fan of this score. There are some cues I really like though. But that's just me. Besides, I think more people will want just the soundtrack instead of downloading a copy that includes both the soundtrack and score at double the file size. What do you think, fellas? Anyway, have fun listening to this and expect more horror treats as we count down to Halloween.

UPDATED! Batman (1989) - Ultimate Edition Soundtrack - Danny Elfman, Prince and VA (Thanks Phaota and jacksparrow900!)

Tim Burton's "Batman" is a classic and will always be the best of the original movies, which became progressively worse and more cartoony with each sequel. Jake Nicholson as the Joker played his role perfectly, with great humor, darkness and depth. Michael Keaton portrayed Bruce Wayne with style and emotional strength that wasn't seen again until Christian Bale took the reins with "Batman Begins" and the sequel films. Who can forget the beautiful Kim Basinger as Vicki Vale. The supporting cast were also just as excellent in their character roles. It was a comic book to movie success and continues to be so. Other than the actors, fantastic sets and art, an unforgettable Batmobile and amazing Batsuit (though the neck was too stiff), fans will always remember the movie due to one major thing - the music by Danny Elfman. Next to "Beetlejuice", this film pretty much set the tone for all the scores Elfman created after it. The music is amazing in tone and energy for all the areas that call for it, then becoming soft and tender for intimate pieces. Danny knows his stuff when it comes to creating music that you never forget and thoroughly enjoy. "Batman" is definitely one of his masterpieces.

Thanks to a La-La Land Records 2-CD release of Batman's score called the "Expanded Archival Collection", Phaota was able to put together an ultimate edition, incorporating Prince's great funk songs from the film. You will also find other songs by Prince made for the movie or as a homage to it as bonus tracks, most from his Batman album released at the time of the film. There are also several unused/alternate Elfman score pieces. Thanks to a fan of the soundtrack, "jacksparrow900", there is one added piece of music with track 25, "Jack Meets Bruce [Beautiful Dreamer]". It was oddly not released on the La-La Land Records collection. Phaota had ripped the song from the Special Edition DVD's 5.1 audio and edited out various sound effects, but the fan sent Ripper a perfectly clean edition that they found somewhere or were given that was superior to Phaota's version. So, the former was switched for the better. Why this piece of music wasn't included in the "Expanded Archival Collection" is a mystery since it was an important musical part in the film. Concerning track 31 "Joker Flies To Gotham-Batwing I", the first part wasn't used in the film, but Phaota decided to leave the piece intact instead of cutting it off since it was released in the La-La Land set that way. Lastly, two bonus tracks by Prince, "We Got The Power" and "Rave Unto The Joy Fantastic", were found by Phaota years ago from a torrent collection of the artist's music and are probably demos. At the time, they had a lot of white noise on them, which was cleaned away and recently enhanced for better clarity, but they still have some digital artifacting noise on them, which can not helped. Both tracks are very rare and hard-to-find, so please do not complain about sound quality. As with all of Phaota's contribution, the songs are in play order, so you can audible enjoy the soundtrack as you would if you were watching the film.

UPDATE! (9/12/2011) - This soundtrack is now updated with a new rip of track 25, "Jack Meets Bruce [Beautiful Dreamer]" without sound effects. So if you downloaded this soundtrack already you can now delete that copy's track 25 and replace it with this one. Thanks "jacksparrow900" for sharing this. UPGRADE! Jaws (1975) - The Collector's Edition Soundtrack (New Remaster By Phaota) - John Williams and VA

Here's a new remaster done by Phaota for this edition of the soundtrack. The previous copy I posted that was cleaned up by him was in 192 bit rate. Phaota decided to try to redo it after reading a complaint from a reader concerning the audio quality. This new remaster sounds better than that 192 version and hopefully readers will enjoy it more. This "Collector's Edition Soundtrack" was an actual CD released, but from a vinyl source that had white noise, which needed to be removed. Now presented here with better quality and added bonus tracks not on the official release. Enjoy!

The House On Sorority Row (1982) - Extended Soundtrack - Richard Band and 4 Out Of 5 Doctors (Thanks Phaota!)

As slasher films go, “The House On Sorority Row” from 1982 (not 1983 as shown on IMDb) is your usual fare. Psychotic killer takes out a group of newly graduated girls, one by one, during and after a big party at the house they’ve stayed at during the four years of school. What sets off the killer? A mean prank gone bad by the lead girl, with the help of most of the others, played on the nasty head mistress of the house, which accidentally causes her death. The movie plays out in a similar fashion to that of “A Nightmare On Elm Street”, except with an all-girl cast and even ends with a lone heroine winning out against the bad guy. What sets the film apart from all the other slasher movies is the excellent acting, superb cinematography, and most importantly, the music. Score wise, Richard H. Band created wonderful, fully orchestral music for the flick. It definitely stands out as the best horror/drama movie score, in my opinion. Most scores for films like this are very annoying and don’t call for repeated listening. This one does and is very beautiful when needed, as well as eerie and atmospheric for those scenes calling for it, but always melodic and enjoyable. Other than Band’s score, you also have five vocal power pop tunes by “4 Out Of 5 Doctors”, which were a great group back in the day, and still are if you love 80s music. Their first two albums are available together in a re-mastered edition from the group’s website. Since an actual extended soundtrack concerning all of the score and vocal songs together has never been released, Phaota decided to put one together and has shared it with fans here on Inferno. As with all of his releases, the songs are in play order as heard in the movie.

UPGRADE! Scream 2 (1997) - "Stab" Score Found!

Over a year ago, I submitted the complete score and song compilation of the Scream Trilogy by Marco Beltrami. What I didn't know was that a lost treasure to the score to part 2 would be found. I have located the score for the movie-within-a-movie, "Stab" composed by Marco Beltrami. I decided to take the first four score tracks to Scream 2, and edit them seamlessly with the Stab score sequence, to better recreate the opening scene of the film. Here at last, is the sequence!

My Stepmother Is An Alien (1988) - Extended Soundtrack - Alan Silvestri and VA (Thanks to Phaota and JC!)

It's odd. When you imagine Kim Basinger, your thoughts would almost certainly turn to her 1989 portrayal of Vicki Vale in Batman. How about her steamy Elizabeth in 9 1/2 Weeks? Or her Oscar-winning role as Lynn Bracken, the prostitute with a heart in L.A. Confidential? Sure, she was known for comedic roles, such as her brunette-haired turn as Bruce Willis' Blind Date. But as a sexy alien? Opposite Dan Ackroyd?

Yes, indeedy. 1988 brought us that sexy alternative to Howard the Duck, My Stepmother is an Alien. (And strangely, both featured mismatched lovers...I'd rather see Kim Basinger, though, if it's all the same to you.)

The original soundtrack album was full of classic 80's pop songs, and even featured a couple of radio hits, including Pump Up the Volume by M/A/R/R/S, and the cover of Prince's Kiss as performed by The Art of Noise, featuring Tom Jones. Alan Silvestri's score was only included as a few tracks. Once again, Silvestri's telling style shines through in the broad, theatrical sweeps of brass and strings (such as heard in Back to the Future), and then takes those sharp turns into urban jazzy tunes (like was featured in Romancing the Stone). Phaota has brought us an extended soundtrack edition for your listening pleasure. Just try not to imagine that phallic device in Kim's purse.

Here's an upgrade for the soundtrack to the John Hughes written movie, "Pretty In Pink". It now includes 5 score tracks that were previously not included on the copy I posted back in 2007. That version has now been deleted from this blog as it is considered obsolete. Unfortunately, we still could not find the one missing song on the soundtrack sung by Maggie Lee. If someone comes across it, please let us know. If you send it our way, we'll gladly credit. The score tracks were actually recently requested by a reader. I had no idea there was a DVD out there that had a Dolby 5.1 track that would enable us to isolate the score tracks. If I knew so, I would've asked Phaota sooner if he had it. With that said, enjoy this fine selection of 80's music.

Jetsons The Movie (1990) - Outer Galactic Edition - John Debney and VA (Thanks Mr. Mix For Sharing!)

The animation team Hanna-Barbera (William and Joseph respectively) scored cartoon gold in 1960 with the premiere of their show The Flintstones. Essentially an animated take of one of Primetime’s most beloved programs, The Honeymooners, The Flintstones depicted two families living during the Stone Age. The Flintstones, headed by Fred and his wife Wilma and later their daughter Pebbles and The Rubbles headed by Barney and his wife Betty and later their son Bam-Bam. The show was a hit for the ABC network running for 6 seasons and over 160 episodes. The success of Hanna-Barbera’s Flintstones meant another project depicting a family that was living way ahead of our time. Having satisfied many a viewer with a cartoon depiction of a Stone-Age Family, it was time to move forward into the future with the first animated Space-Age Family! Enter, The Jetsons!

The Jetsons premiered opposite The Flintstones on ABC in 1962. Instead of depicting two families, The Jetsons primarily focused on the titular family and their friends and coworkers. The show’s theme song allowed those of us unfamiliar with the new program to learn each of the family member’s names “Meet George Jetson!” “His boy, Elroy!” “Daughter, Judy!” and “Jane, his wife!” Also in the mix was the family’s live-in robotic maid Rosie, George’s boss Mr. Spacely, and family dog, Astro.

While The Jetsons may not have run as long as The Flintstones (The Jetsons only ran for 2 seasons and had 75 episodes produced), it is still well recognized as a favorite childhood cartoon by many and its theme song, like The Flintstones, is engraved in many a mind who can name a TV theme song in only 5 notes! The success of The Jetsons was such that in the 1980s, Universal Studios bought the rights to it along with many other Hanna-Barbera creations.

In 1989, while Universal Studios was busy working on the construction of its new Orlando, Florida theme park, they had asked Hanna-Barbera to create two projects for them. A new ride for Universal Studios Florida and a brand new full-length feature film for The Jetsons. The results of these were The Funtastic World of Hanna-Barbera and Jetsons, The Movie respectively. Sadly, during the making of Jetsons, The Movie, two members of its main voice cast passed away George O’Hanlon (George Jetson) and Mel Blanc (Mr. Spacely). But that didn’t stop the filmmakers from going ahead with the feature!

One major new addition to the cast was that of then-teen pop music sensation Tiffany providing the voice of Judy Jetson. Along with Tiffany’s involvement as Judy Jetson, she provided 3 original songs to the film’s soundtrack. I Always Thought I'd See You Again, You and Me, and Home. While many believed that the addition of Tiffany would cause the film to receive heavy backlash, Jetsons, The Movie pressed on and received a huge amount of publicity leading up to its July 6 1990 release. I myself recall seeing many a TV spot for the film, a special Wendy’s Kids Meal promotion, Kool-Aid commercials that allowed you to get a free Jetsons spaceship toy with a certain amount of Kool-Points, and a very big cardboard display for the film at a local theater.

If there’s one thing I remember most about Jetsons, The Movie it’s the original soundtrack and even the score! The original score for the film was composed by John Debney whose work I’d end up hearing in another sci-fi outing, the 1992 Disney Channel telefilm Still Not Quite Human. Both scores are alike in that they are fast paced, rely heavily on synthesizers, and give off a bit of an industrial vibe. Jetsons, The Movie was actually Debney’s very first soundtrack job. He would later compose the scores for films such as Disney’s Hocus Pocus, Jim Carey’s Liar Liar, Robert Rodriguez’s Spy Kids, Mel Gibson’s The Passion of the Christ, and another Hanna-Barbera creation turned feature film, the 2010 3D adaptation of Yogi Bear!

When the original soundtrack for Jetsons, The Movie was released in 1990, it did not include Debney’s original score. It wasn’t until a 1996 promo-only CD release that featured songs from the 1993 animated film Jonny’s Golden Quest (AKA Jonny Quest) that listeners would get to hear nearly all of Debney’s score from Jetsons, The Movie. Luckily, all the Jetsons tracks have been preserved and included on this new special ‘Outer-Galactic Edition’ of the Jetsons, The Movie soundtrack!

Of course, we wouldn’t want to deprive you of all the tunes featured in Jetsons, The Movie! Like the soundtrack for Problem Child 2 (Coming soon along with the first movie as a double feature soundtrack! - LIR), these songs had a distinct 90s feel to them. Much of the sound is heavily inspired by early 90s MTV and Hip-Hop including a Jetsons Rap performed by XXL, a funky Bobby Brown-ish song called Stayin’ Together by Shane Sutton, instrumental music from a sequence that took place in a mall by John Duarte which honestly sounds like some sort of theme to a show you’d see on FOX or BET, and also a bonus track that was featured on the original soundtrack but left out of the film, Through the Blue by Gayle Rose. Another fun song I decided to include as part of the film’s soundtrack was the Sprocket Rap performed in the film by the characters of George and his new coworker Rudy 2.

Altogether, this soundtrack is a great listen. It’s not only the first time that both the Jetsons, The Movie score and soundtrack have been featured together on a single album, but it is also a nice companion to honor the memories and legacies left behind in the animation world by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. Iron Man (2008) - Complete Score (2 CD Set) - Ramin Djawadi (Thanks JC For The Help!)

Ramin Djawadi is not a familiar name in film music composing, not at least when you think of comic superhero action films that preceded this release: Superman (John Williams, John Ottman), Batman (Danny Elfman, Elliot Goldenthal, Hans Zimmer & James Newton Howard), Dick Tracy (Elfman again), Hulk (Elfman yet again), Spider-man (Elfman once again?!, Christopher Young), X-Men (Michael Kamen, John Ottman, John Powell)... The list can go on and on.

So, who is this Ramin Djawadi? Well, he'd been taken under Hans Zimmer's wing, a school of film music composers that have included Trevor Rabin, Harry Gregson-Williams, Klaus Badelt, Lisa Gerrard, Steve Jablonsky, and Mark Mancina, to name a few.

Previously, Djawadi has collaborated with Klaus Badelt on Pirates of the Caribbean: Curse of the Black Pearl, and Zimmer on Thunderbirds, Something's Gotta Give, and Batman Begins.

Jon Favreau tapped Djawadi to bring a rock music feel to the score to his interpretation of Iron Man, a comic that had it's own devoted following, but was clearly under the radar for what most audiences thought would be the next decisive comic-turned-film release. The collaboration between these two artists, matched with Robert Downey Jr.'s convincing portrayal of the smug, self-obsessed Tony Stark revitalized hope for a Marvel Renaissance in film. Remember that Iron Man came after the dismal critical review for Spider-man 3, a Marvel franchise that still engaged audiences, but were ready for something fresh and new, and the end to the X-Men trilogy (although X-Men Origins: Wolverine and X-Men First Class has opened reboot doors for the franchise) in the hopes that Marvel could compete with DC at the box office.

Iron Man opened the doors for Marvel to explode with a wide range of films to follow, including the sequel, Thor, Captain America, and the coming Avengers which would combine all the previous actors and/or characters in one epic film (fingers are still crossed for that one!)

Taxi Driver (1976) - Score - Bernard Herrmann (Thanks JC For The Help!)

Taxi Driver was Bernard Herrmann's final score. Previously, Herrmann was well known for his long-running collaboration with master director, Alfred Hitchcock, and his scores for sci-fi hits of the fifties. This film was about a troubled and violent man named Travis Bickle, and the score reflects that chaos well. Herrmann did such a great job that the film was dedicated to his memory.

The film itself was controversial on many layers, from DeNiro's troubling portrayal of Bickle, to the tender and innocent Iris character played by the then 13-year-old Jodie Foster, and the excessive violence (the end of the movie was actually desaturated in color in order to pass the MPAA with an "R" rating, and not the "X" rating they threatened it with.)

Topping several lists for best films everywhere, Taxi Driver's legacy lives on, and the score by Bernard Herrmann brings it to vivid life with each listen.

This is the Arista re-release issued some years ago, but made available for review and the enjoyment of you all.

Class of Nuke 'Em High (1986) - Soundtrack - Various Artists (Thanks Phaota!)

This Troma "classic" is about students at a high school that's located next to a nuclear power plant. They start acting and looking strange after buying contaminated drugs from a plant worker. If you have a warped sense of humor, then you will most likely dig this film like most other Troma movies. This soundtrack was a custom one put together by my good friend Phaota. Sourced from mostly obscure 80's albums and the movie itself, this is probably gonna be as complete as it's gonna get for now. The Troma DVD, like most (if not all?), did not have a 5.1 Dolby track. Because of that, Phaota was unable to isolate the music and add the score tracks to this release. But then again, if there was a 5.1 track on the DVD, chances are it wouldn't be a true one that could be ripped. Troma just doesn't put much care into their disc releases. Yeah, there's usually tons of extras on their more popular titles, but the quality control on the picture and audio transfer on the movie itself is seriously lacking. Not even the few Blu-rays they've released so far have much of a upgrade over their DVD editions. Below you'll find a listing of songs that we couldn't find for this soundtrack. If any of you readers come across these tracks, send us a email or chime in on the ol' Cbox or comments section for this post. Personally, I'd love to have a copy of the soundtrack for "The Toxic Avenger". Sadly, it seems none of the tracks from that film have surfaced yet. Damn shame. :(

In 1996, Sargent John "The Demolition Man" Spartan has finally caught the worst criminal of the 20th century, Simon Phoenix after two years in an abandoned building. The 30 bus passengers that Phoenix had captured were not found in the building during Spartan's search but during a search of the building's remains after the collapse due to an explosion caused by Phoenix happens, the bodies of the passengers are found. Spartan is charged with involuntary manslaughter of the 30 bus passengers and is sentenced to 70 years of Sub-Zero Re-habilitation in the California Cryo Penitentiary along with Phoenix who's sentence (according to the trailer) is eternity. In 2032, Phoenix has been un-thawed for his parole hearing and escapes from it and is now loose in the City of San Angeles (Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, San Diego Metroplex merged in 2011). Spartan is un-thawed to counter any further actions of Phoenix.

In this custom soundtrack, the score album and Sting's Demolition Man have been re-ordered to match the film's order as well as some recordings from the film. The track Phoenix Steals The Museum Weapons was a track only found in the 3DO game.-S.J. Reed

Terror In The Aisles (1984) - Score - John Beal (Thanks JC For Helping Out!)

What Stephen King did for the horror genre in his analysis book, Danse Macabre, this film did visually, and it didn't pull any punches. Host, Donald Pleasence, warns us at the beginning, "It's only a movie..." He may be right, but this film packs in scene after scene of some of the most suspenseful and intense moments in horror and thriller films from the late 60's through 1984, when this film was released. In fact, the MPAA nearly gave it an X rating, because of all of the continuous scenes of violence. (A normal horror movie has quieter moments when nothing happens...not here, it doesn't!) Co-host, Nancy Allen, adds the female perspective, especially during segments featuring damsels in distress.

Composer, John Beal, wrote a score for this film that was largely influenced by the scores to the films featured in each segment. These are re-imagined pieces, such as music from Halloween, Jaws, Psycho, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Some of you may remember the John Beal Trailer Project album that came out in the mid-90's. This has the same feel. The music is almost familiar.

This movie has never been released on DVD in the US, and VHS copies are rare, some new ones fetching prices nearly $100. If you have the money, go get it. It's a definite worthwhile piece of nostalgia. - JC

Summer School (1987) - Extended Soundtrack - Various Artists (Thanks Phaota!)

For those of us that remember the days spent in summer school, we only wished it was as crazy and fun as depicted in this classic 80s comedy. Not sure about doing the "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" re-enactment to scare off a bad teacher, but anything zany and humorous would have been awesome. Instead, those old school days were mostly boring, with the occasional interesting field trip (if you were in the right kind of class). So, watching this great film allows one to sort-of dream about what it could have been like if you had more class clowns similar to Dave and Chainsaw. If you are one of the few that still has not had a chance to view this classic, definitely do so at the nearest opportunity. As for the film's music, it was and still is excellent with a wide variety of song styles. Unusually, E.G. Daily has two great songs, but doesn't act in the film, which is a shame since she is a funny actress and would have been perfect as one of the kids. Thanks to Phaota, you can now enjoy all the music and more in this extended version of the soundtrack, which includes four extra songs that we not in the official release. The tracks have also been put in play order as heard in the movie. So, as Shoop said to the class, "Please take your seats." Chainsaw then replied, "Where should we take 'em? Tension-breaker. Had to be done."

If you were to ask somebody to name their favorite Adam Sandler movie, chances are you’ll hear either Billy Madison or Happy Gilmore. And why not? They were Adam Sandler’s first two feature films in which he was the headliner! Hot off the stages of Saturday Night Live, Adam Sandler gave audiences young and old laughter by the bowlful with two back to back hit movies. 1995’s Billy Madison and 1996’s Happy Gilmore. His comedic antics were showcased by way of a practically rubber face and penchant for voice characterization. One minute you’d hear Adam talking in his usual baritone, and the next you’d hear him in a high pitched unintelligible rant of gibberish or extolling the virtues of why “SHAMPOO IS BETTER! I GO ON FIRST AND CLEAN THE HAIR! CONDITIONER IS BETTER! I LEAVE THE HAIR SILKY AND SMOOOOOTH!”

It was that childlike demeanor Adam played off in his comedy that made him such a hit with a younger crowd, myself included. It was at Summer camp where I was first introduced to the movie Happy Gilmore while on a bus trip. I simply could not stop laughing at this man’s hilarity! From such classic lines as “The Price is Wrong, BITCH!” to “YOU’RE GONNA DIE, CLOWN!” to memorable scenes of Adam wrestling with an alligator and attempting to serenade his ex girlfriend back by singing his own rendition of ‘Kiss You All Over’ by Exile.

Subsequently, I watched Billy Madison and again, memorable comedic moments gave me endless amounts of laughter! What is interesting to note about these two Adam Sandler movies, is that not only do they involve a similar story (a 30-something slacker trying to help out a member of his family by proving he’s able to achieve greatness be it in the classroom or on the golf course) but both films had memorable soundtracks of both classic and contemporary tunes! Unfortunately, official soundtracks were never released.

Back in the Summer of 2002, I attempted to collect as many tracks off the soundtracks of Billy Madison & Happy Gilmore to create an ‘Unofficial Soundtrack’ to give to a friend of mine who practically worshipped Adam Sandler. This became the framework of what I now present to you as ‘The Billy Madison/Happy Gilmore Original Motion Picture Soundtrack “The Price Is Wrong, Bitch” Edition’!

Now, all those original tracks I gathered back in 2002 PLUS newly discovered tracks have been added to create this soundtrack for all Inferno Music Vault fans to enjoy! In combining both soundtracks to create one whole CD, there are 22 tracks total running just over 75 minutes. The soundtrack even includes some original songs from Billy Madison as performed by Adam Sandler and the Cast that were sourced directly from a newly created 5.1 Mix featured on the film’s 2004 Special Edition DVD release. PLUS, 2 exclusive BONUS TRACKS for Happy Gilmore are included; 2 Unlimited’s ‘Get Ready For This’ which was featured in the film’s original theatrical trailer and a remix by The Prodigy titled ‘Funky Sh*t’ which includes dialogue from the film.

Working together with The Long Island Ripper, I am pleased to present the first of many rare soundtracks to you here on the Inferno Music Vault!

NEW POLL! - Please Vote - Read On....

As many of my readers know I've been using Rapidshare as my main file host server for years. Due to recent lame policy changes on Rapidshare and overwhelming demand from readers I have decided to give up on Rapidshare and start using a file host server that's more user friendly and more convenient for my readers. However, there are so many out there to choose from. I have asked some of my close friends what they thought and I have narrowed my top 2 choices down to Megaupload and Filesonic. But like all servers those two have their own share of problems. Megaupload seems to not be user friendly with international users. Filesonic isn't the easiest server to know how to use for people new to file host servers it seems. Can you help me decide which server I should use instead of Rapidshare?

The Wizard Of Speed And Time (1989) - Score - John Massari (Thanks JC For Sharing!)

This quirky entry from the end of the 80’s has a cult following. The film is a send-up of itself, shamelessly self-aware before that kind of filmmaking was popular. The movie? The Wizard of Speed and Time, from an original short film of the same name, crated in 1979 by special effects technician and filmmaker, Mike Jittlov.

Jittlov started at UCLA as a math major. When he needed to fulfill his art requirement, he took an animation class, and the rest is history. Several short films followed, entered into festivals, and winning awards. Jittlov worked for Disney with various short films, and hoped for a full-length feature in Hollywood. The struggle to make it in Hollywood became the basis of the story in his film, The Wizard of Speed and Time, which itself was a commercial failure, much like his own attempts at the system which are documented and recreated in the film. Many of his previous short films appear at length in the movie, including references to his Disney work. (Did you ever see that short with the Mickey Mouse satellite that orbited the earth and helped launch the Disney Channel?)

Interesting trivia about this film. It took five years to make, and was finally released in 1989. The principal photography of the actors included a young Philip Michael Thomas, whose very next project was the hot new police drama, Miami Vice.

John Massari composed the music heard in the film (and the original 1979 short film the movie was based on). Previously, you may have heard his music in Killer Klowns from Outer Space, and most recently the sound design on Lady Gaga’s “Bad Romance.”

Be Kind Rewind (2008) - Soundtrack - Jean-Michel Bernard and VA

"Be Kind Rewind" is from director Michel Gondry who also directed the Seth Rogen action comedy remake "The Green Hornet". I haven't seen all of Gondry's films yet but "Be Kind Rewind" is definitely one of my favorites so far. Basically it's about a video store that has all its tapes accidentally erased by its two clerks. They come up with a plan to re-shoot every film in the store with their own camera with no money in order to keep the store running. The films re-shot include Robocop, Boyz N' Th Hood, Carrie, Ghostbusters, The Lion King and many more. The film is really funny and the soundtrack features a lot of catchy songs. Mos Def and Jack Black (the two video store clerks) make a good likable team and have good chemistry. I hope they are able to collaborate again in another movie at some point in the future. Check out this trailer. If you like what you see then give it a rental. Recommended.

The Naked Gun: From the Files of Police Squad! (1988) - Extended Soundtrack - Ira Newborn and VA (Thanks Phaota and JC!) R.I.P. Mr. Nielsen!

“Is this some kind of bust?” “Yes, they’re very impressive.” Those words were first heard on a short-lived television series of only six episodes, Police Squad! The creators of the series were that famous trio of hucksters, Jim Abrahams, and David and Jerry Zucker, the men behind Airplane! and The Kentucky Fried Movie. A send-up of dramatic police procedural shows, Police Squad! was well before it’s time, with its infusion of sight gags, quick puns, and blink-and-miss-it jokes. The ABC Network cancelled it, and that was it for six years.

In 1988, the ZAZ boys brought their script for The Naked Gun: from the Files of Police Squad! to Paramount Pictures. Star Leslie Nielsen, formerly a straight-man character actor in science fiction, westerns and television dramas found renewed life as a comedian and star. From this point on, Nielsen would be known—and certainly in demand for—sight gag-filled comedies, including Mr. Magoo, Spy Hard, and the Scary Movie series.

The Naked Gun was followed by two more sequels, and has been rated as one of the top 100 comedy films of all time.

Composer Ira Newborn created the music for the TV series, and returned to this film and the two that followed with his iconic themes.

Sadly, Leslie Nielsen died in December 2010. His legacy will be long remembered, and he will be sorely missed.

Phaota has compiled an excellent addition to the Vault with this upload of Ira Newborn’s score, accompanied by pop songs that were married so memorably to scenes we’ll remember. Who can hear “I’m Into Something Good” by Herman’s Hermits without wanting to shoot mustard all over some girl’s blouse? Hmm… mustard… -JC

Based on the 1987 arcade game, the year is 2007 and Los Angeles (now New Angeles) has been wrecked by The Big Quake, as trumpets blow heralding the arrival of Koga Shuko, who is on the hunt for the other half of the Double Dragon medallion. The sacrifice of The King of the great city of Chang-Sa created and split the Double Dragon medallion so he could save his people from the attack of the shadow warriors thousands of years ago in Ancient China. One part of the medallion gave power of the body and the other power over the soul and the two sons of The King possessed one of the parts to return peace to the land. They later hid the pieces of the medallions so evil could not use them.

Koga Shuko has the power over the soul piece and the power of the body piece is protected by Satori Imada, the legal guardian of Billy and Jimmy Lee, two former orphans who practice martial arts. Koga uses his goons and the gangs of New Angeles to retrieve the power of the body piece from Satori and The Lee Brothers.

Most of this custom soundtrack has been re-ordered from the album and score CD and Green Mind, 100& Pure Love, and Girls + Boys had to be found elsewhere.

I posted this soundtrack ages ago on here. But I made a big mistake of not having the 1st CD on here! I know, big error on my part. But it was though one of my early posts on here and I wasn't aware there was a CD missing on my copy. That share was a 192 bit rate copy and now I have done it right with both CDs, 320 bit rate quality, and nice large artwork scans courtesy of two nice people who gave me permission to use them here. Thanks Zaratozom and eda-88! I also would like to thank FulciLives for letting me use his copy of the soundtrack. Finally a shout-out of thanks to THXJay as well for helping me get permission for using the artwork scans. Anyway, I had originally planned to post something else tomorrow cause I posted something yesterday and it didn't occur to me till a few hours ago that Deep Red streets today on Blu-ray from the fine folks at Blue Underground. I've been meaning to post this soundtrack earlier but figured today was the best time. I still have not watched this movie yet. All I've seen is the trailer, which is shown below. Danny Madigan is a kid who puts his love for the movies over his education on a daily basis. On a rainy night Nick, his friend projectionist at the movie theater, gives him part of a ticket to view the print of Arnold Schwarzenegger's "Jack Slater IV". Nick tells Danny that the ticket is "a passport to another world" and it was given to him by Harry Houdini and before Houdini as the greatest magician in Tibet. Danny soon discovers the ticket actually works when he ends up inside "Jack Slater IV". Now Jack Slater and Danny continue "Jack Slater IV" together with the film's villain Benedict onto the magic ticket.

This custom soundtrack is mostly a re-ordered combination of the album and score CDs and Hangin' Tree, Twilight Zone Theme, and Overture The Marriage of Figaro had to be found elsewhere.-S.J. Reed

Summer Rental (1985) - Extended Soundtrack - Alan Silvestri and VA (Thanks Phaota and JC!)

1985 was quite a year for composer Alan Silvestri, but most audiences only remember that year as it pertained to a certain time-traveling coming-of-age science-fiction fantasy. Back to the Future was released in July 1985. In August, Carl Reiner’s comedy, Summer Rental hit theaters. As expected, it was overshadowed by an unexpected hit.

So far, Silvestri’s scores had taken on that 80’s jazzy ensemble feel, with small orchestra backing: Romancing the Stone, Fandango, and Cat’s Eye were heard as quirky scores. When Robert Zemekis brought Alan on board Back to the Future, he said “make it big.” And it was. He spent much time on that score, and the film was finished mixing within 24 hours of its premiere.

Conversely, Summer Rental was considered a rush job by many, with a much shorter shooting and production schedule. Silvestri relied upon his familiar jazz styles to create this comedy. Though star John Candy had appeared in several films prior, including Stripes, National Lampoon’s Vacation, and Splash, 1985’s Summer Rental was his first starring role.

Phaota has created an extended soundtrack presentation of Summer Rental with score from Alan Silvestri, and songs as heard in the film, including “source music” from Footloose. As we near another blazing summer, put on this music and imagine drenching unsuspecting sunbathers with ice water from your cooler, before getting onboard your yacht and racing against rich snobs. Mortal Kombat (1995) - Expanded Soundtrack - George S. Clinton and VA (Thanks S.J. Reed!)

In this adaptation of the popular brutal 1992 arcade game, the film follows Shaolin warrior Liu Kang, actor and martial artist Johnny Cage, and Special Forces solider Sonya Blade who have been chosen to defend the realm of Earth in the tournament known as Mortal Kombat. The Demon Sorcerer Shang Tsung and warriors have to win ten straight victories in Mortal Kombat in order for The Emperor of Outworld (another of one of many realms) to conquer Earth. They have won nine and the tenth is about to begin. The three chosen warriors are aided of Raiden, god of lightning and protector of the realm of Earth, they must battle against Shang Tsung’s many (and familiar ones from the game) warriors in order to save Earth.

This movie’s released album featured some of Geroge S. Clinton’s score (all of it featured on a separate release), most of the music from the movie with the exception of Stabbing Westward’s Lies, Lost and Can't Happen Here, from the Ungod album, and some tracks that did not appear in the movie at all.

Forbidden Zone (1980) - Custom Soundtrack - Danny Elfman and the Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo (Thanks JC!)

Okay folks, here's a cult favorite! This is Danny Elfman's first film contribution, his brother Richard Elfman's classic Forbidden Zone. This film was Richard's attempts to capture on film what the Mystic Knights of the Oingo Boingo did regularly in their live shows. In the instrumentals, you can hear the musical direction Danny would later take with his first film solo efforts (Oingo Boing did much of the music heard here), such as 1985's Pee Wee's Big Adventure, and 1988's Beetlejuice.

This soundtrack is the full score heard in the film, ripped cleanly off the isolated DVD score track, and mixed from 5.1 channels. Two additional deleted songs are cut into the sequence, and in the case of "The Passion of Rene" are remixed with the songs in the order originally intended.

Love it, hate it, watch it for the shameless topless women running all over The Sixth Dimension, take a gander at this film, and listen to the wacky score that set the path for Elfman's work for years to come.

UPGRADE! - Night Of The Comet (1984) - The Extended Soundtrack - VA (Now With More Tracks!) - Thanks Phaota!

For all of you fans out there wanting to have the missing songs for this great soundtrack, it's very slowly happening. Thanks to Phaota, we originally got a copy of Jocko Marcellino's song when I posted the soundtrack awhile back. Now he has done it again with the needed Thom Pace tune "I'll Take The Blame". Concerning the track, Thom re-recorded it in 1999 to sound just the one heard in the film and released it, along with a lot of other unreleased and demo tracks on his two CD set available through his eBay page. Phaota has put both extra songs in their play order spots. Originally, the officially released soundtrack was available on Poptate's blog, and I didn't want to take away his thunder by posting here. But being that this is an extended edition in play order, it is different than any other share available, thanks to the good man Phaota! There's plenty of other tracks in the movie missing though, and unfortunately, they're harder than a banshee to find! Phaota and I have been looking everywhere for them, without success. If we find any, I'll update the post, but don't count on it since they are PRETTY FUCKING HARD TO FIND!!! Don't worry, I'll add as a separate download so that you don't have to get the whole soundtrack again people. :) The movie screams out for a full blown SE on DVD and Blu-ray, especially an audio commentary with the girls would be sweet! Imagine that for a second readers. We can dream can't we? Enjoy the music!

48 Hrs. (1982) - Extended Soundtrack - James Horner and VA (Thanks Phaota and Jake!)

James Horner, the horns, the preponderance of resounding brass in string concert delivered us the often (Titanic and Avatar); yet here Horner delivers a faithfully paced, albeit a bit of 80’s cheese, but hey, whom among us does not love a little cheese with their score diet, to Walter Hill’s "48 Hrs". A buddy comedy made possible by such films as "Salt and Pepper," "The Defiant Ones" and "Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid"; moreover, fortunately for we viewers, not only did Warner Brothers succumb to Hill and Nolte’s pleas not to fire young Eddie Murphy, but also that "48 Hrs" kicked ass at the box office otherwise we may not have relished in such franchises as Lethal Weapon or Die Hard.

Eddie Murphy was the hottest young comic in the world, and the heir apparent to the throne - to Richard Pryor’s throne (do not think for a milli-second this did not burn Bill Cosby’s ass). And, yes, the fight was a good one by Hill and Nolte battling the Warner Brother’s brain trust, whom not only found Murphy not funny, but a sad talent overall save SNL. You see, the film community at that time, and not until 2004, viewed the TV community not worth their proverbial salt, let alone to be playing in the feature world. TV talent and executives were green with envy of feature film talent and executives. Movie folks look down their collective noses at TV people. Clearly, that has been corrected and for the vast improvement of TV I might add, e.g. Aaron Sorkin. So, to WB’s brain trust, Murphy should be puckering up just to play in the tall wheat with the big boys (WB perceived Michael Keaton in Beetle Juice. They did not feel either had one ounce of humor between the both of them. Tim Burton actually agreed with WB and shot around Keaton until the wedding scene. Keaton nailed it. The rest is proverbial history. Of course, riding high on Batman fame, Keaton became greedy and less cooperative. To quote Amy Pascal, President of Cola/Sony/Tri-Star to Toby Maguire’s agent during the Spiderman 2 negotiations, "Ask Toby where Michael Keaton is today.")

We collectively rejoice in WB incalculable idiocy now, don’t we?

Accolades to The Long Island Ripper and Phaota for we, you and I, and all you care to invite, will pleasure our ears with each note. This is a remarkable score, to say the least, coupled with the unpolished gem in The Busboys. They were dear party buddies of Murphy’s and collectively partied enough to rub the right shoulders in order to land on the soundtrack. Giving them a queue over the climax of the film (a music video-esque moment. Streets of Fire, anyone?), as well as land three tracks on the soundtrack.

Nolte exclaimed that Eddie took him out of a several scenes and considered "48 Hrs" one of his most pleasurable shooting experiences. If one considers Nolte’s roles, one would consider this a bold statement. Murphy became a superstar, Nolte continued to play great characters in excellent fashion, and Walter Hill continued to and produced, yet never at the same pinnacle (loved "Deadwood" though, but that was Milch more than Hill really). And sadly, Hill did not receive a fair shake. Pray to your personal god that his Hell’s Angels dream project is properly placed in his most capable hands as opposed to Tony Scott’s.

Mr. Horner went on to even greater heights, as well have heard.

I saw that this movie was making its rounds on cable a month or two ago and I meant to get this posted then but better late than ever. A lot of reviewers bashed this film when it first came out in theaters. Because of that I decided to stay away from it. It wasn't until I decided to give it a chance and rent it on Blu-ray through Netflix that I realized I should've watched it sooner. This movie is a absolute blast. If you like ultra violence and gore and are a fan of the comics then I recommend this film to you. I actually liked it better than the previous two films. You will not believe the amount of carnage that got passed with a R rating in this film. I was surprised there wasn't a unrated cut on disc. I guess the theatrical version is the intended director's vision and that's why there was no unrated cut. Anyway, here is two nice 320 rips of the released soundtrack and a bootleg complete score. Super Mario Bros. (1993) - Expanded Soundtrack - Alan Silvestri and VA (Thanks S.J. Reed For Sharing!)

In this 1993 action / adventure based on the popular video game, the meteorite that was once believed to have caused the extinction actually created an alternate dimension where the dinosaurs continued to evolve into intelligent beings. Millions of years later Koopa, a descendant of the Tyrannosaurus Rex, rules Dinohatten, only city within the endless desert of the alternate dimension. Koopa desires to merge the alternate dimension with ours and the only way this is possible is if the final piece of the meteorite that split that created the alternate dimension is placed back in it. The piece is worn as a necklace of Princess Daisy who was taken to our dimension to prevent Koopa from succeeding in his plan.

Daisy, now in her 20s, has caught the eye of Brooklyn plumber Luigi Mario. Luigi's older brother, Mario Mario, pushes Luigi to talk to her but later on Koopa's cousins, Iggy and Spike, take Daisy to the alternate dimension to get the meteorite piece from her but the Mario Brothers actually have it out of Luigi's attempt to pull Daisy from the portal from our world to the alternate dimension. From there, Mario and Luigi go on a a wild ride as they battle their way through the streets of Dinohatten in order to save Daisy and preserve our dimension.

Alan Silvestri's original score had a limited release of 500 copies on the same CD as his No Mercy score and three versions of the various artists album was released. Some releases included have Tracie Spencer's Don't Slip Away (a track that did not appear in the film) but the album Almost Unreal by Roxette included The Heart Shaped Sea, Don’t slip away, and Cinnamon Street and they were all tracks that still did not appear on the film.

A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987) - Mini Soundtrack - VA (Thanks To Everyone Who Helped Out With This Release!)

This is kind of a re-post of old material I posted in multiple separate posts originally. It was when I was going ANOES crazy and posting any music related to that series that I could find. Would you believe that I still have some stuff left over that I have yet to post for this series? I was working on a compilation to collect those odds and ends but I ultimately gave up on it cause I didn't like how it was turning out. But I will eventually revise it and get around to releasing it one day. Perhaps in a condensed version and cut away the "fatty" parts so to speak. Those parts were like stupid shit that didn't need to be on there like for example a lame techno remix of the ANOES theme song. But there are some cool stuff on there of course like the infamous Joe Lamont song from ANOES 4 (Sorry folks my version is the same cut version that made the rounds on the Net that sounded like someone isolated the music from a 5.1 track or something). Anyway back on topic, I wanna thank the original people and sources that shared these tracks with me - Starman1975, The Fiji Mermaid, and the now defunct blog called "please-release". Thanks also to Phaota for cleaning these tracks up and Ghostface for whipping up a terrific new cover for this.

Also, here's some background information on some of these tracks in case you don't know why they're included. When A Nightmare On Elm Street 3 was released in theaters in 1987, the song that played when we see Kristen building her dream house was "Into The Fire" by Dokken. But when the movie later made its way to VHS, "Into The Fire" was replaced with "Quiet Cool" (Instrumental) by Joe Lamont. But when the movie arrived on DVD, "Into The Fire" was restored. I think I read years ago this all had something to do with a rights issue. But what's odd is that "Quiet Cool" is the name of a totally unrelated movie and it has the same exact instrumental version that includes a vocal version that is not heard in ANOES 3! I thought I'd take the time to talk about this in case there was any confusion. Cause I know I was confused when I was heard about this.

Finally, in case you're wondering, this post is also being made cause of a request. The original posts (now deleted) had dead links and I'd thought I'd organize better instead of having the downloads for these tracks spread out over multiple posts. And if you're thinking maybe the "well is starting to run dry" so to speak with new and original posts, don't worry, cause it's not true. I got plenty more good stuff coming. Cause I know it's been almost a month since the last post. I was sick, that's why. But I'm better now and I got some good custom soundtracks lined up so no worries. :)

UPGRADE! Heavy Metal (1981) - Extended Soundtrack - Elmer Bernstein and VA (Phaota Added More Tracks! Thanks Pal!)

Hey all. Here's some info to those wondering what exactly is new with this edition of the soundtrack to Heavy Metal:

"This new and final edition of the classic animated movie soundtrack includes newly released score tracks that came out on a limited CD, as well as a complete replacement of all previous score tracks with better sounding versions. Some pieces have been altered to fit their play order placements. Originally, the soundtrack had a song called "Harry and the Girl". But, in the film, the track is split into two tracks with "Riggs - Heartbeat" between them. These score pieces have their titles taken from the recent CD edition. Phaota also found that the first half of "Bomber And The Green Ball" was not used in the movie, so that became an unused bonus track. "Dem Bones", released on the recent limited score CD, only used the middle portion of the song in the film. So a new track with just that bit of music was created and placed in its play sequence. The long version has become a bonus." - Phaota

Be sure to check out the new Blu-ray that was recently released. Currently it's a Best Buy exclusive but later on it will be available at all DVD/Blu-ray retailers. It seems to have all the supplements from the old DVD Special Edition including the workprint supplement. However some may be disappointed by the transfer I read in a review. Some people may expect more from the picture because of its 30th anniversary and because it's a Blu-ray. However it still looks good nonetheless but the reviewer agreed that it could've used some more polishing. If I recall though the reviewer approved of the sound on the Blu-ray. So that's cool. Be sure to pick up the Blu-ray at your local Best Buy if your equipment is compatible with Blu-ray.

Tonight I bring you the scores to Antonio Margheriti's cannibal masterpiece and Lucio Fulci's zombie gorefest both from 1980. How can a gorehound not like these two movies? Standout scene in City Of The Living Dead is when the girl pukes out her guts. Fucking great! Get the new Blu-ray from Blue Underground. Recommended chunk blower. Cannibal Apocalypse is still not on Blu-ray yet but there's a terrific DVD that came out years ago from Image Entertainment that should still be around if you look. It presents the film in a beautiful uncut print and it's loaded with entertaining extras. Essential purchase for DVD gore fans everywhere.

This is a film from cult/sleaze director Jess Franco. I've only seen a small handful of his films and I haven't had the chance to see this one. Because of that I've decided to let the original compiler of this extended soundtrack talk about this soundtrack.....

An American model named Barbara Hallen has disappeared and her father gets private detective Sam Morgan to go find his daughter. Barbara's trail leads Morgan to a plastic surgery clinic owned by Dr. Flamand. Morgan's investigation reveals the horrifying secret behind the Doctor's miracle cures which is blood and organs taken from kidnapped young women. As Morgan's investigation closes, witnesses are eliminated one by one, each in a more horrible way. The movie's music is composed by Romano Musumarra, preformed by Vincenzo Thoma & Carol Welsman. The songs are fantastic 80s pop songs. The music fits the movie well, but the main title song "Faceless" is played a little too much. The film is good but the ending is a little strange and could've been better. Please note that the track "Country Lovers" is a bonus track because it wasn't in the final version of the film. Also, this soundtrack contains very rare songs, and it took me 2 years to track all of them down.

This fellow lovers of the Riggs/Murtaugh saga, is the condensed opening to a screenplay written and sold by a fledgling twenty three old UCLA theater school graduate for a cool million. Shane Black sold LETHAL WEAPON to one of the most prolific action producers alive yesterday, today and tomorrow- Joel Silver. Joel is flashy, rampantly nouveau riche; and a switch hitter who trolls in a stretch Bentley: Welcome to Hollywood.

LETHAL WEAPON is the quintessential buddy cop dramedy written by the quintessential nerd turned Hollywood player. Shane is rich beyond his, and your wildest dreams, lives in Rock Hudson’s estate snuggled in the secluded piece of Hancock Park. Shane’s Halloween Party is legendary. And, personally, I miss those parties; and, those Sundays playing softball at Griffith Park prior to Sunday Movie Night.

Shane’s library is chock-a-block full of pulp novels, noir and science fiction. He reads like most smoke out and fuck. The man is simply put- a machine. (The Christmas Party scene from KISS KISS BANG BANG with Val Kilmer’s famous speech referencing Los Angeles girls was shot in Shane’s Backyard just a stone’s throw from the pool, as well as Downey Jr. being bound to a chair and beat up in Shane’s downstairs library, and the after scene between Downey Jr. and Michelle was shot in Shane’s upstairs kitchen. Yes, Shane has more than one kitchen.)

Principle photography wrapped November of 1996 and the composer begins his journey by story telling via score and source music. Michael Kamen’s genius( the man was some of the musical genius behind Pink Floyd’s The Wall may he RIP) from Brazil, Die Hard, Someone to Watch Over Me, License to Kill to the now celebrated at the Inferno Music Vault: Lethal Weapon, which the Ripper and Phaota have provided a supreme extended score and soundtrack; so sit back, don’t load the 9MM just yet, feed the pooch, pop a brewski, fix your boat, pray your daughters don’t shoot condom commercials, play with the family cat, and never ever bet against the mutt.

And, always ,always check your out of doors Christmas Lights before entering the house to eat that world’s worse Christmas Turkey.

And, do not waste a single milli-second reading any more of my rubbish and download this puppy while sitting on throne 1, 2,.. 3…BOOM!

Best Of Nintendo Music - Volumes 1 and 2 - VA (Compilation Of Nintendo and Some Sega Genesis Video Game Music) - Thanks To The Original Ripper!

Tonight's post is a two volume compilation I downloaded off a torrent site recently. It wasn't labeled as to who created it, no artists were credited for the songs (I can understand why when you consider how hard that information can be to find) except a remix, and on the Sega Genesis tracks some of the track names were incomplete. Just so you all know that. A major shout out to the creator who compiled this set. I don't know if the person is going to make any more volumes and release them but I sure hope so. If you grew up playing and enjoyed the music from those old school video games of the 80's and 90's you are gonna fall in love with this compilation. It brings back so many memories, it's great!

I have some other video game music in my collection like complete video game ripped soundtracks. I posted some of that in the past I believe and I will post some more if there's any interest. I also have some old school computer game soundtracks like the LucasArts point and click adventure games. If you wanna see any of these kind of soundtracks I mention let me know and if there's enough interest I shall post. The reason is cause some of the previous posts of video game or computer game music didn't do so well in download count last time I checked.

On a final note, I won't be uploading any old video games (via "roms" and "emulators", do some googling and get educated if you don't know what those are) in case you're wondering. This is a music site after all. But if you haven't explored that world of "roms" and "emulators" there are MANY places on the Net that you can indulge in. Definitely look into that if you haven't already, video game fans. With that said, enjoy the tunes.

UPDATE: 1/27/2011 - This updated edition has a revised track listing, a few more tracks, and bonuses. I highly recommend you all upgrade to this version. Also the back cover is updated to reflect the additions and revisions. Don't worry tho, I think it's safe to say there won't be any more need to update this again. I hate having to make you re-download the soundtrack for the revised editions. But my collaborators and I are perfectionists when it comes to this stuff so I hope you can understand our reasoning. Finally the score is available in what will most likely be the final edition of the soundtrack for Inferno Music Vault. Phaota and I were able to extract the 5.1 track from the Blu-ray and isolate the score tracks. Thanks Phaota for helping out! And Ghostface was able to provide another splendid set of artwork for this release. Thanks pal. This edition improves on the previous edition that was on here called "The Ball Handler Edition". Also besides the addition of the score tracks you'll find some new bonuses. The Knack's "My Sharona" is included because during production, this song plays on the radio in Rodney Dangerfield's golf bag instead of Journey's "Any Way You Want It".
